Graduate Research Assistant
Xue Fang Deng is a doctoral student in the Applied Developmental Psychology program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Education Studies from Wellesley College in 2021. Upon graduation, she worked as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Taiwan and as a teacher in NYC. The combination of her research and applied experience drives her commitment to conducting action-oriented, public impact research. She is particularly interested in how culture, racialized experiences, and parenting practices interact to shape the socio-emotional development of Asian American youths/families. Xue Fang is currently involved in the CSTARs and ARISE projects.
