Sarah Jung, B.A.

Graduate Student


Sarah Jung is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Medicine at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago in 2004. Sarah’s research interests are in the development of body dissatisfaction and eating pathology among women of color, with an emphasis on those of Asian descent. Specifically, she is interested in how native cultural variables (gender roles, body ideals) interact with acculturation and immigration processes to promote eating disturbance and obesogenic environments. Sarah is mainly involved in an upcoming project examining food choices among college students by utilizing virtual reality.
