Bumo Zhang, M.S.Ed.

Graduate Research Assistant

Bumo is a fifth year doctoral student in the Applied Developmental Psychology program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wake Forest University in 2017 and her Master’s degree in Human Development from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. Bumo’s research interests focus on how the interplay between individual, familial, and cultural context shapes children’s adaptations. She is particularly interested in the impacts of parents’ beliefs, practices, and well-being on children’s health and social-emotional development. Bumo is currently involved in the SAFER project and the HDinYA VR Project.
