The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), along with the National Security Council (NSC) and the Domestic Policy Council (DPC) are launching an interagency effort to understand and eliminate hate incidents. With support and leadership from the U.S. National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Justice, and the National Institutes of Health, this effort aimed to further understand the social, behavioral, and structural barriers that limit our ability to address these incidents through evidence-based policies and programs. Dr. Cheah shared her research expertise and experience working with various marginalized communities that experience hate to shape this important conversation and interagency effort.
